NFL Transactions Tracker: Friday, August 7, 2026

The Commanders officially signed WR Stefon Diggs after a deal was announced earlier this week. Other signings included DT Ben Stille with the Lions, LB Power Echols with the Seahawks, LB Jahlani Tavai with the Jaguars, TE Pharaoh Brown with the Colts, DE Daniel Rickert with the Rams, and DB Xavier Woods with the Bears.

The waiver wire was also busy on Friday, with the Browns claiming NT Patrick Jenkins from the Jets, the Dolphins adding DB Ahmari Harvey from the Steelers, the Saints claiming DE Garrett Nelson from the Seahawks, and the Steelers being awarded WR Colton Dowell from the 49ers and TE Lance Mason from the Seahawks.

Atlanta officially released LB Troy Andersen after he failed his physical. The former 2022 second-round pick appeared in 26 games during his four seasons with the Falcons before injuries ultimately ended his time with the franchise.

Cleveland waived LB Reid Carrico and WR Jamari Thrash, Miami released QB Mark Gronowski and DB Omar Brown, the Patriots waived DT David Blay, the Jets released WR Jalen Walthall, and San Francisco waived DE William Bradley-King. Seattle also moved on from LB Joseph Vaughn, while Tampa Bay waived DT Haggai Ndubuisi.

Several players reverted to injured reserve after clearing waivers. The Bears placed DB Dallis Flowers on reserve/injured, the Browns did the same with C Kendrick Green, the Colts placed TE Sean McKeon on injured reserve, the Saints moved DT Bryan Bresee to injured reserve, the Seahawks reverted DB Brandon Johnson to injured reserve, and the Titans placed LB Shad Banks (our personal fan favorite) on injured reserve.
