NFL Fines 49ers FB Kyle Juszczyk $14,926 for Chugging Celebration

The NFL fined 49ers FB Kyle Juszczyk $14,926 for his signature chugging celebration during Sunday’s 35-13 win over the Dolphins.

According to Adam Schefter, the NFL said Juszczyk’s celebration was an offensive demonstration after he pretended to chug a beer.

“Your imitation of chugging a beer constituted an offensive demonstration and could reasonably be construed as being in poor taste,” the NFL wrote in its fine letter.

The celebration is an ode to Juszczyk’s longtime nickname, “Juice,” something he’s done throughout his NFL career without being fined before.

Juszczyk reacted to the fine, texting Schefter, “And I don’t even drink beer!” Adam Schefter also noted that the 49ers fullback has already appealed the fine.

He was also fined $20,033 for unnecessary roughness and illegal use of his helmet against the Rams, bringing his total to $34,959 over two weeks.
