Browns’ D’Onta Foreman Released From Hospital

Cleveland Browns running back D’Onta Foreman was taken to the hospital by ambulance Thursday morning after suffering a direct blow to the head during practice, which resulted in neck pain. The team announced that X-rays and CT scans returned negative, and Foreman was released from Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital later in the day. He is now officially back with the team but will not be active for the time being.

The incident occurred near the end of the punt period, with Browns’ trainers immediately attending to Foreman, placing him on a backboard before carting him off the field. He was then airlifted to the hospital as a precaution. The team confirmed that Foreman had movement in all extremities following the injury. After the incident, the team gathered to kneel and pray for Foreman’s recovery at the end of practice.

Foreman, originally drafted by the Houston Texans in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, joined the Browns on a one-year contract in March. Last season, he recorded 425 rushing yards and five touchdowns with the Chicago Bears. Over his six-year career, Foreman has amassed 2,326 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns.
