Browns DT Mason Graham Expected to Miss Multiple Weeks
Mason Graham suffered MCL and ankle sprains during the Browns win over the Steelers.
The Browns appear to have avoided a major injury to one of their defensive line’s biggest pieces.
Browns DT Mason Graham is expected to miss a “few weeks” after suffering an MCL sprain and ankle sprain during Thursday night’s win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, per Ian Rapoport.
Graham underwent an MRI on Friday after his left leg bent awkwardly. The 23-year-old immediately went down in pain before eventually walking to the medical tent with assistance and later heading to the locker room.
The Browns could still place Graham on injured reserve, which would require him to miss at least four games. He was spotted leaving the game on crutches and wearing a knee brace.
Through his first three games, Graham recorded 15 tackles, 6 tackles for loss and 4 sacks. His 4 sacks currently lead the Browns.
While the Browns will be without one of their top defensive players for at least a few weeks, avoiding a potentially season-ending injury is good news after how concerning the play looked.
