Giants Trade Daniel Faalele to Jaguars
The Giants are moving on from one of their offseason offensive line additions before the regular season.
The Giants are trading offensive lineman Daniel Faalele to the Jaguars in exchange for a 2027 6th-round pick.
Faalele’s time in New York ends just months after signing a 1-year, $1.4M deal with the Giants in free agency. He followed head coach John Harbaugh to New York after spending the previous 4 seasons with the Ravens.
The 6’7″, 380-pound lineman started all 34 regular-season games for Baltimore over the past 2 seasons.
Faalele entered training camp competing for a role on the Giants offensive line, but rookie Francis Mauigoa has taken almost all of the first-team reps at right guard. Faalele instead spent much of camp working with the second team.
The move also comes as Jacksonville’s G Patrick Mekari recently underwent back surgery, while multiple other Jaguars linemen are currently sidelined.
Trade Summary
🔶 Jaguars receive: OL Daniel Faalele
🔶 Giants receive: 2027 6th-round pick
