Tulane Unveils Mardi Gras Uniforms
The Green Wave will debut the new uniforms during Week 2 against South Alabama.
Nobody does Mardi Gras better than New Orleans, and now Tulane is bringing that same celebration onto the football field after revealing a new City Edition uniform inspired directly by the city.
The Green Wave unveiled the uniforms Wednesday and will debut them during their Week 2 home matchup against South Alabama.
Mardi Gras Takes Over Tulane’s Helmet
Tulane’s Jester Angry Wave will appear on a football helmet for the first time, with an argyle stripe running down the center, while the front bumper features a king cake. The rear bumper reads “UPTOWN” as a nod to the city’s parade route.


Tulane Packed Details Into the Uniform
As for the jersey and pants, they feature purple, green, and gold numbers, with beads hanging on each player’s nameplate.
The pattern appearing on the collar and pants features traditional Mardi Gras colors, with diamonds and beads throughout.


Tulane Will Debut the Uniforms Against South Alabama
The City Edition look will make its on-field debut when Tulane hosts South Alabama in Week 2.
After reaching the College Football Playoff last season, Tulane will begin its 2026 season on the road against Duke before returning home and breaking out its new Mardi Gras uniforms.
