Tyler Biadasz Out Indefinitely With Knee Injury
The Chargers will be without their new starting center for an extended period.
The Chargers received more bad news on starting center Tyler Biadasz after he was carted off during Tuesday’s joint practice with the 49ers.
Biadasz is out indefinitely after suffering damage to his ACL along with additional injuries to his left knee, according to Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter.
There is currently no timetable for his return. Biadasz is expected to meet with additional doctors to get more opinions and determine the full severity of the damage before the Chargers have a clearer idea of his recovery timeline.
The injury occurred during 11-on-11 drills when a 49ers defender fell on Biadasz’s leg. He was evaluated on the field before being carted off and later underwent imaging.
It’s a significant loss for a Chargers offensive line that added Biadasz as one of its biggest offseason additions. Los Angeles signed the center to a 3-year, $30M deal in March.
Biadasz was originally selected by the Cowboys in the 4th round of the 2020 draft and earned his first Pro Bowl selection in 2022. He spent the past 2 seasons with Washington, starting 31 games before signing with LA.
