Colts TE Tyler Warren Expected to Miss a Week

Indianapolis Colts TE Tyler Warren appears to have avoided a significant injury after leaving Wednesday’s joint practice with the Falcons.

Warren is expected to miss about a week with a minor groin injury, according to Ian Rapoport. Most importantly, there is currently no concern about his availability for Week 1 against the Ravens.

The injury occurred during 11-on-11 work on Wednesday when Warren went down while running a route. He grabbed at his groin area before leaving the field with a trainer and a noticeable limp. Warren later returned to the sideline without his helmet, an early sign that the injury wasn’t serious.

The Colts will now give Warren time to recover, and he is not expected to play in Saturday’s preseason matchup against the Falcons.

The 2025 1st-round pick finished his rookie season with 76 receptions for 817 yards and 4 touchdowns. His 817 receiving yards ranked 2nd on the team.

Indianapolis is already dealing with an injury to wide receiver Alec Pierce, who remains on the active/PUP list with an ankle injury after leading the Colts with 1,003 receiving yards last season..
