The Commanders have signed P Tress Way to a contract extension.
Way originally signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2013. He joined the Commanders the following year and has been with the organization since the 2014 season. Over his career in Washington, Way has made three Pro Bowls, earned second-team All-Pro honors in 2019, and became the franchise’s all-time leader in punting yards.
If Way plays in all 17 games next season, he will move to No. 3 all-time in regular-season games played for the franchise, trailing only Darrell Green and Monte Coleman.
