Commanders QB Jayden Daniels has been ruled out for Week 3 against the Seahawks as he continues to get more information on his dislocated left elbow.
HC Dan Quinn confirmed Daniels will not play Sunday, and Marcus Mariota will start in his place.
Daniels suffered the injury during Washington’s loss to the Cowboys. The good news is that testing showed he did not suffer a fracture.
Daniels underwent imaging Monday and is expected to consult with multiple experts over the next few days before the Commanders have a clearer picture of his recovery timeline.
For now, Daniels will miss at least Week 3, with Mariota expected to take over against Seattle.
