49ers Owner Jed York Arrested in Ohio

49ers owner and CEO Jed York was arrested in Ohio over the weekend and has pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor charges.

York was arrested Sunday in East Palestine, Ohio, before posting a $5,000 bond. He pleaded no contest Monday morning to disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools, according to WKBN.

The disorderly conduct charge was amended from an original charge of engaging in prostitution, according to KRON.

Court records show York was sentenced to two days in the Columbiana County Jail, with credit for one day already served. He was also ordered to pay $1,150 in fines.

As part of the agreement, $160 seized from York will be forfeited to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. His cell phone was ordered to be returned.

The 49ers have yet to publicly comment on the situation.

York has served as the 49ers’ team president since 2008 and is currently the franchise’s owner and CEO.
