Bears Trade for All-Pro DT Jeffery Simmons

Jeffrey Simmons time in Tennessee has come to an end after eight years with the Titans.

Chicago made the blockbuster move Thursday, acquiring the All-Pro DT Jeffery Simmons from the Titans in exchange for two first-round picks and a fourth-round selection.

The Titans received Chicago’s 2027 and 2028 first-round picks and a 2027 fourth-round pick, and sent a 2028 fifth-round pick in return.

Simmons, 29, is a four-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro who has recorded 46.5 career sacks, including four this season. He is coming off a career-best 11-sack campaign in 2025.

For the Titans, the trade comes after a 1-6 start. Titans GM Mike Borgonzi revealed Thursday that Bears GM Ryan Poles contacted him Wednesday night about a potential deal.

Tennessee gains valuable draft capital for its rebuild, while the Bears go all in, hoping to hoist the Lombardi Trophy in February.
