The Dallas Cowboys have locked in star defensive lineman Quinnen Williams for the long haul after agreeing to a 3-year, $105.9M extension with $101M guaranteed, according to Ian Rapoport.
The deal includes $63.35M fully guaranteed at signing and $35.3M per year in new money. It also becomes the largest 3rd contract ever signed by a defensive lineman.
With the extension added onto his existing contract, Williams is now under contract with Dallas for the next 5 years at a total value of $153.15M.
The extension had been in the works throughout training camp. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones revealed earlier in camp that the team had been talking with Williams’ agent about getting a new deal done.
Now, less than a year after acquiring him, Dallas has made sure Williams will remain a major piece moving forward.
