Seahawks Sign CB Terrion Arnold
Seattle finalized its deal with Terrion Arnold, who will be placed on the commissioner’s exempt list as his legal case continues.
The Seahawks have officially signed former Lions 1st-round pick CB Terrion Arnold.
Arnold will be placed on the commissioner’s exempt list once the NFL receives his contract, per Ian Rapoport. He will not be eligible to play while he remains on the list.
Seattle originally agreed to terms with Arnold earlier this month, but the signing hadn’t become official as the Seahawks waited for clarity on his ongoing legal situation.
Arnold is currently out on $1M bond while facing eight felony charges stemming from an alleged armed robbery and kidnapping case. He has maintained his innocence, with his next court date scheduled for October 5.
Seahawks HC Mike Macdonald previously acknowledged the seriousness of Arnold’s legal situation while explaining the team’s decision to give the former Alabama standout an opportunity.
Arnold was originally selected by the Lions in the 1st round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Through his first two NFL seasons, he recorded:
- 91 tackles
- 1 interception
- 18 pass breakups
- 1 fumble recovery
The 23-year-old remained a free agent after being released by Detroit earlier this summer before agreeing to terms with Seattle.
