The Cowboys are acquiring OT Broderick Jones from the Steelers, per Adam Schefter.
Trade Summary
- Cowboys receive: OT Broderick Jones, 4th-round pick
- Steelers receive: 3rd and 6th-round pick
Pittsburgh selected Jones out of Georgia with the No. 14 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Earlier this offseason, the Steelers declined Jones’ 5th-year option, which would’ve paid him $19.1M in 2027.
The decision came after Jones suffered a neck injury during the 2025 season, putting his long-term future in Pittsburgh into question.
Instead of playing out the final year of his rookie contract with the Steelers, the former 1st-round pick will now get a fresh start in Dallas.
Jones is currently scheduled to become a free agent following the 2026 season unless the Cowboys work out a new deal with him.
