Aaron Donald Comes Out of Retirement

Aaron Donald is officially coming out of retirement and returning to the Los Angeles Rams for one last dance.

The Rams announced Donald’s return Sunday after months of speculation surrounding a potential comeback, following LA’s blockbuster trade for Myles Garrett.

Donald has agreed to a 1-year, $20M deal that can escalate up to $30M for the 2026 season, according to multiple reports.

The 35-year-old had been working toward a potential return throughout August, including multiple workouts with Los Angeles as he tested whether his body was ready for another NFL season.

Donald retired after the 2023 season, following 10 years with the Rams.

The former No. 13 overall pick recorded 111 sacks, 176 tackles for loss and 260 QB hits while earning first-team All-Pro honors eight times and making the Pro Bowl in all 10 seasons.

This year’s Super Bowl will also be played at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, giving Donald and the Rams a chance to potentially finish their one last dance on their home field.
