Giants Release WR Darius Slayton
New York is moving on from longtime receiver Darius Slayton just days before the start of the regular season.
The New York Giants have released wide receiver Darius Slayton, the team announced.
Slayton survived final roster cuts last week and was initially included on New York’s 53-man roster, but the Giants have now decided to move on from the veteran receiver ahead of Week 1.
New York selected Slayton with the No. 171 overall pick in the 5th round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He went on to appear in 106 games for the Giants while recording 296 receptions for 4,435 yards and 22 touchdowns.
The 29-year-old now becomes a free agent and will have an opportunity to find a new team as the 2026 regular season gets underway.
