USC Star WR Trent Mosley Expected to Miss Multiple Games
The Trojans will be without one of their most productive playmakers entering Big 10 play.
USC will be without one of its top offensive playmakers for the immediate future.
Star true freshman WR Trent Mosley is expected to miss multiple games due to a knee injury, according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.
Mosley has already been ruled out for USC’s Week 3 matchup against Rutgers, but will now miss longer. The Trojans face No. 21 Oregon in Week 4, Washington in Week 5 and No. 14 Penn State in Week 6.
HC Lincoln Riley addressed the injury Wednesday and said USC does not expect Mosley to be sidelined for long, although his recovery timeline isn’t firm.
“We knew after the game that there was a little something that we needed to get looked at,” Riley said. “And so we were able to do that…We’ll just continue monitoring forward. Don’t expect it to be extremely long-term, but still a little inconclusive at this time, depending on how he responds. We’ll see, but certainly not going to be ready this week.”
Mosley has established himself as one of USC’s biggest playmakers during his true freshman season. Through 3 games, he has recorded 13 catches for 255 yards and 4 receiving TDs. He has also made an impact on special teams with 158 punt return yards and a punt return TD.
