Eagles Name Joe Milton III Starting QB
Philadelphia is benching Tanner McKee in favor of Joe Milton.
The Eagles are making another quarterback change ahead of their Week 9 matchup against the Giants.
According to Mike Garafolo, the Eagles are naming Joe Milton III their starting quarterback, making him the fourth different QB to play for Philadelphia this season.
The Eagles have had a rough stretch at quarterback this season, going through Jalen Hurts (blood clots), Andy Dalton (released), Tanner McKee (0-3 record), and now Joe Milton III in just 9 weeks of action.
Milton signed with Philadelphia from the Cowboys practice squad in October, right before Jalen Hurts was placed on IR. Now, he will start his first-ever NFL game.
The decision comes after Tanner McKee struggled and the Eagles have slid into a 6-game losing streak.
Philadelphia is hoping a change at the helm can help them string together several wins.
