Bucs Release QB Jake Browning, Jalon Daniels Earns Backup Job

The Bucs are releasing QB Jake Browning as UDFA Jalon Daniels has earned the backup job behind Baker Mayfield, per Ian Rapoport.

Daniels impressed throughout training camp and the preseason, ultimately beating out Browning for the QB2 spot heading into Week 1.

The former Kansas QB finished the preseason completing 27 of 44 passes for 239 yards with 2 total TDs and no interceptions.
