Panthers LB Devin Lloyd Ruled Out for Week 3

The Panthers will be without one of their biggest defensive playmakers in Week 3, as LB Devin Lloyd has been ruled out.

Lloyd will miss Sunday’s game just one week after putting together a dominant performance against the Falcons that earned him NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

In Carolina’s 34-3 win over Atlanta, Lloyd finished with 9 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 2 interceptions, 3 passes defended, a sack and a pick-6.

Lloyd became the first linebacker since sacks became an official stat in 1982 to record at least 9 tackles, 2 interceptions, a pick-6 and a sack in the same game.

It marked the second Player of the Week award of Lloyd’s career after he also earned the honor with the Jaguars in Week 4 of the 2025 season.

The Panthers will also be without LB Claudin Cherelus and S Nick Scott, while WRs Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker are listed as questionable. Legette is expected to be a game-time decision, while Coker has a good chance to play.
