Panthers Sign LB Bobby Okereke

The Panthers announced they have agreed to terms with veteran LB Bobby Okereke on a 1-year deal.

Okereke, 30, brings plenty of experience to Carolina after appearing in 110 career games with 95 starts during his first seven NFL seasons.

The linebacker has recorded:

• 805 tackles
• 7.5 sacks
• 11 forced fumbles
• 7 interceptions
• 8 fumble recoveries

Okereke has recorded at least 132 tackles in four of the last five seasons, including a team-high 143 tackles with the Giants in 2025.

He spent the last three seasons in New York, where he was named a team captain each year.

Okereke entered the NFL as a 3rd-round pick by Indianapolis in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Carolina had Trevin Wallace and Claudin Cherelus competing throughout the preseason for the starting linebacker job next to Devin Lloyd. Okereke now adds a veteran option to the competition.
