Seahawks Sign Free Agent CB Trevon Diggs

The Seahawks are signing CB Trevon Diggs to a 1-year deal following his tryout with the team, according to Adam Schefter.

Diggs, 27, became a free agent after the 2025 season, following a short stint with the Packers after his release from the Cowboys. Dallas released the former All-Pro cornerback in late December following a falling-out with the coaching staff before he finished the season in Green Bay.

Diggs appeared in 9 regular-season games last year, 8 with Dallas and 1 with Green Bay. He recorded 27 total tackles, 20 solo tackles and 1 tackle for loss.

Seattle brought Diggs in for a workout while dealing with uncertainty surrounding CB Terrion Arnold, but the addition does not mean the Seahawks are moving on from Arnold.

The Seahawks are still expected to sign Arnold after agreeing to terms with him last week. However, the deal has not officially been completed as the two sides work through the timing surrounding his legal situation.

Once Arnold signs, the NFL plans to place him on the commissioner’s exempt list, which would prevent him from practicing or playing while his legal case plays out.

That could leave Arnold unavailable for an extended period and potentially make him more of a second-half addition for Seattle.

For now, the Seahawks get immediate help by adding Diggs while still planning to eventually bring Arnold into the secondary.
