Titans LB Cedric Gray Enters Concussion Protocol After UTV Accident
Cedric Gray's status for Week 1 is uncertain after being involved in a UTV accident.
Titans linebacker Cedric Gray has entered the NFL’s concussion protocol after being involved in a UTV accident in Tennessee over the weekend.
The Titans announced Monday that Gray suffered a concussion along with other minor injuries in the accident. According to Turron Davenport, the incident did not involve reckless driving or alcohol.
“Over the weekend, Cedric Gray was involved in a UTV accident in Tennessee and sustained a concussion and minor injuries. We look forward to Cedric returning to the field soon and in full health when he clears the NFL’s concussion protocol.”
There is currently no set timeline for his return. Gray will have to pass through the NFL’s concussion protocol and receive clearance before returning.
The injury comes after a breakout season for the Titans linebacker. Gray started 16 games and recorded a career-high 160 tackles, finishing 5th in the NFL.
Tennessee opens the 2026 regular season against the Jets on Sunday at Nissan Stadium.
