Travis Hunter Named Starting CB and Backup WR

Travis Hunter’s two-way role appears to be changing entering his second NFL season, with the Jaguars listing him as a starting CB and a backup WR behind Brian Thomas Jr.

To start training camp, Hunter has continued to see more work at cornerback than receiver, following offseason expectations that Jacksonville plans to use him as a full-time corner and part-time receiver.

That’s a significant change from Hunter’s rookie season, when he recorded 324 offensive snaps and 162 defensive snaps. However, with a deeper Jaguars receiving room, that appears to be changing entering Year 2.

Hunter Bulked Up During Injury Recovery

On top of that, Hunter has added weight, compared to when he was 185 pounds as a rookie.

But despite looking even more Jacked, Hunter is still just as fast, his biggest advantage in the pros.

Back in June, head coach Liam Coen said that Hunter reached 22.6 MPH during a workout, recording the time during practice.

Going to be something to watch for Hunter entering Year 2
