Texans Trade For Kayshon Boutte From Patriots

The Texans are adding another weapon to their offense, trading for receiver Kayshon Boutte from the New England Patriots, according to Tom Pelissero.

Houston is sending safety Jaylen Reed and a 2028 7th-round pick to New England in exchange for Boutte.

The move comes shortly after the Texans lost wide receiver Jayden Higgins for the entire 2026 season with a torn ACL. Higgins entered the year as Houston’s WR2 after recording 41 receptions for 525 yards and 6 touchdowns last season.

Houston explored a trade with New England last week following Higgins’ injury, and the two sides have now finalized a deal that sends Boutte to the Texans.
