A.J. Brown Could Miss 3 to 6 Weeks
New England could be without its star receiver for more than a month.
The Patriots could be without star receiver A.J. Brown for more than a month following the ankle injury he suffered in his team debut.
According to Ian Rapoport, the current belief is that Brown could miss approximately 3-6 weeks with the right ankle injury he suffered during Wednesday night’s 13-10 loss to the Seahawks. There is also a chance Brown could be placed on short-term injured reserve.
Brown suffered a high ankle sprain during the 3rd quarter while attempting to catch a pass from quarterback Drake Maye. Mike Garafolo reported Thursday that X-rays showed no fracture.
Brown was able to walk off the field under his own power before being evaluated in the medical tent and eventually heading to the locker room. He was later seen leaving the Patriots locker room with a walking boot on his right foot.
New England will have to lean on the rest of its receiving room, which includes Romeo Doubs, Mack Hollins, Pop Douglas, Kyle Williams and Efton Chism.
