Cardinals Name Gardner Minshew Starting QB

The Cardinals have named Gardner Minshew their starting quarterback for Week 9 against the Seahawks, after his comeback against the Dallas Cowboys.

Head coach Mike LaFleur announced the decision to bench Jacoby Brissett on Monday.

Brissett struggled late into the third quarter, completing just 10 of 23 passes for 119 yards and an interception while taking 4 sacks.

Minshew immediately turned things around, connecting with Michael Wilson for a game-tying touchdown with six seconds remaining.

After a missed extra point forced overtime, kicker Chad Ryland redeemed himself with a game-winning kick.

Minshew finished the game completing 17 of 23 passes for 188 yards and 3 touchdowns.
