The Cardinals are placing rookie RB Jeremiyah Love on Injured Reserve after he suffered a high-ankle sprain during Sunday’s win over the Cowboys, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Love, the 3rd overall pick in the 2026 draft, is expected to miss 4-5 weeks after suffering the injury in the first half. He had just returned after missing the previous two games with a separate ankle injury.
Cardinals HC Mike LaFleur confirmed Monday that Love’s latest injury is unrelated to his previous ankle injury. “It’s a new portion of the ankle,” LaFleur said. “So, I’ll keep it at that.”
Love has struggled to stay healthy throughout his rookie season, recording 268 rushing yards and 1 touchdown on 76 carries.
With the Cardinals bye not coming until Week 14, there’s a strong chance we won’t see Love return until Week 15.
