Vikings Place RB Jordan Mason on Injured Reserve
Minnesota expects Jordan Mason to return after the minimum 4-game IR absence following a small fracture in his thumb.
The Vikings will be without RB Jordan Mason for at least the next 4 games.
HC Kevin O’Connell announced Wednesday that the Vikings placed Mason on Injured Reserve after he suffered a small thumb fracture.
O’Connell said the fracture has already been fixed, and Minnesota expects Mason to return after the 4-week IR window.
With Mason sidelined, Aaron Jones is expected to take on a bigger workload in the Vikings backfield.
Minnesota also signed veteran RB DeeJay Dallas to the 53-man roster following Mason’s move to IR. The Vikings added another backfield option by signing RB Jerome Ford to the practice squad.
Mason originally joined Minnesota in March 2025 on a 2-year, $10.5M contract.
