Ravens Acquire Center Cam Jurgens in Trade With Eagles
Baltimore turned to the trade market after injuries left three veteran centers on injured reserve.
The Ravens have found a long-term answer at center after injuries left Baltimore scrambling for help in the trenches.
Baltimore acquired 2x Pro Bowl C Cam Jurgens and a 2027 7th-round pick from the Eagles on Wednesday. Philadelphia will receive a 2027 5th-round pick and a 2028 2nd-round pick in return.
TRADE SUMMARY:
🔶 Eagles Receive: 2027 5th-round pick, 2028 2nd-round pick
🔶 Ravens Receive: Cam Jurgens, 2027 7th-round pick
The move comes after the Ravens lost three centers to injured reserve. Danny Pinter suffered a knee injury during training camp, while Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic joined him on IR after suffering injuries against the Cowboys.
Baltimore moved rookie 1st-round pick Vega Ioane from guard to center as a result, but adding Jurgens will allow Ioane to return to guard.
Jurgens, 27, was selected by Philadelphia with the 51st overall pick in the 2022 Draft. He initially played right guard before taking over for Eagles legend Jason Kelce at center following Kelce’s retirement.
Jurgens earned back-to-back Pro Bowl selections in 2024 and 2025 while adding a win in Super Bowl LIX.
Before the 2025 season, Philadelphia signed Jurgens to a 4-year, $68M extension. He remains under contract through the 2029 season, now for Baltimore.
His departure also marks another major change for Philadelphia’s offensive line just one day after Lane Johnson announced his retirement.
