Shedeur Sanders Added to Pro Bowl Games

Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders has been added to the Pro Bowl Games as a replacement quarterback, a move that immediately ignited backlash across social media. Ironically, the criticism came from the same fans who vote on the Pro Bowl roster every year.

The original AFC quarterbacks selected were Josh Allen, Drake Maye, and Justin Herbert. With Maye advancing to the Super Bowl, the league needed to name a replacement, and it ultimately landed on Sanders.

Several notable quarterbacks that were passed on as alternatives, including Bo Nix (INJURY), Patrick Mahomes (INJURY), Trevor Lawrence, Cam Ward, Aaron Rodgers, Daniel Jones (INJURY), CJ Stroud, Geno Smith, Tua Tagovailoa, Lamar Jackson, Joe Flacco, and Joe Burrow.

While injuries account for some of the omissions, the NFL has not clarified whether invitations were declined before settling on Sanders. That lack of transparency has fueled frustration, with many questioning how the final decision was made.

Regardless of the controversy, Sanders now officially adds Pro Bowler to his resume. The rookie’s future in Cleveland remains uncertain as the Browns continue their head coaching search, leaving plenty of unanswered questions surrounding the direction of the franchise and Sanders’ long-term role within it.

Sanders finished the 2025 season with the following numbers
🔶 1,400 passing yards
🔶 8 total touchdowns
🔶 10 interceptions
🔶 57.4 percent completion rate

Whether fans agree with the selection or not, Sanders has earned the accolade, and it will be attached to his name moving forward.
