Texans WR Jayden Suffers Torn ACL
Houston loses its WR2 just weeks before the start of the regular season.
The Texans have suffered a major loss to their offense ahead of the 2026 season.
Texans WR Jayden Higgins’ season is over after suffering a torn ACL during joint practice with the Raiders, according to Ian Rapoport.
Higgins entered the season as Houston’s WR2 after recording 40 receptions for 500 receiving yards and 6 TDs last season.
Without Higgins in the lineup, the current unofficial depth chart would have Xavier Hutchinson elevated to WR2, with Jaylin Noel, Tank Dell, and Justin Watson following.
Higgins suffered the injury during Tuesday’s joint practice against Las Vegas. The torn ACL will sideline him for the entire 2026 season.
It’s a brutal development for Higgins just weeks before Week 1 and a significant loss for the Texans receiving room.
